[Summary]

Business Description

・Tex Technology Inc. was established in 2002 as a trading company for electrolytic copper foil production equipment.

・We started a business supplying manufacturing equipment such as high-quality titanium drums made in Japan to overseas companies when they entered the electrolytic copper foil manufacturing industry.

・We have also handled battery materials, and provide Know-how to provide total support for our customers.

・Our strength is that we are the only company in the world that can provide comprehensive factory design support for manufacturing, technology, development know-how, and factory establishment.

Investment

・We invest and participate in capital in companies involved in battery materials, including copper foil, not only in Japan but also overseas.

・Nippon Denkai, Ltd., the largest manufacturer of copper foil for automotive batteries in Japan, is a company with technology and has a manufacturing plant in the United States, and we see growth potential in that.

Market Analysis

・U.S. is building a supply chain from battery materials to electric vehicles through the IRA Act, but it is expected that the supply of battery materials will not be able to keep up with the demand for EVs from each company.

・Despite overproduction, China plans for capital investment and the desire to invest remains strong.

・Korean manufacturers have not set up factories in China, but have mainly focused on Malaysia. They have European and American battery manufacturers as their customers, and are doing relatively well.

Future Outlook

・We currently have two branches in China, one in Taiwan, one in Singapore, and one in the Netherlands, and will open a new branch in India in the second half of fiscal 2024.

・India is a very promising market, and we would like to have a sales branch in India to capture local demand.

・We are also currently considering establishing a local US subsidiary.
