Tex Technology together with the culinary researcher Okubo Kinya are pleased to announce the opening of Okubo, a Japanese restaurant in Ginza, Tokyo.
Mr. Okubo has been selected as a "Contemporary Master of Culinary Art" for his outstanding skills and has received an award from the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan.
He has also spent more than 10 years in the U.S. and Australia, where he has been active in promoting Japanese cuisine by giving lectures in a role of an executive member of the Japanese Culinary Research Association.
Mr. Okubo and Mr. Yoshida met in Houston, U.S.A. over 40 years ago.
We are pleased to announce that their promise to "someday work together in a restaurant business somewhere in the world" has come to fruition.
